The Dimensions of Love
Classical music or TikTok? Top designers or cat videos? For Esther Abrami, it’s a no-brainer: all of the above, of course! The young violinist, who has recently been taking the classical music world by storm, wears many hats – and shines in every single one. Alongside a meteoric career as a soloist (with forays into pop and jazz), she has, amongst other things, published a book – titled Music Is (also) a Women's Affair – hosts podcasts and is a hit on social media. Her main aim: to throw open the doors to classical music and share her passion for it with as many people as possible. And she’s doing a phenomenal job of it: With her sparkling personality and her open-hearted way of sharing her joy in music with the world, Esther Abrami reaches millions of people – no wonder she was awarded the OPUS KLASSIK in 2026 in the ‘Classical Music Without Borders’ category. As part of the ProArte series, she is performing at the Elbphilharmonie with a very personal programme of well-known works and her own compositions – yes, she can compose too! –, a programme centred on a single theme: “With Amour, I wanted to explore love in all its facets – not just its joy and beauty, but also the vulnerability, longing, anger and pain that often go hand in hand with it.”
