Joe Hisaishi’s World Dream Tour

Joe Hisaishi is a living legend. His soundtracks for award-winning films made by Studio Ghibli and famous creator Hayao Miyazaki have captured the hearts of animation fans all over the world. He has rewritten the history of film music with more than 100 scores and numerous accolades. At the same time, Joe has firmly established himself in the contemporary music scene as a composer, conductor and pianist with his symphonies and piano pieces. This autumn, he is finally returning to Europe, and we are highly delighted that this Japanese Grandseigneur has decided to include the Elbphilharmonie in his World Dream Tour with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He will play the piano and conduct as he presents his new suite for the Oscar-winning Studio Ghibli film “The Boy and the Heron”, as well as the European premiere of his latest concerto for orchestra.
