Stories in Music

“As a harmonic instrument, the piano makes it possible to bring an entire orchestra to life,” enthuses Justus Eichhorn. “Music allows us to tell stories and share emotions for which there are often no words.” Since the age of ten, the 16-year-old pianist has been captivating audiences with his brilliant technique, impressive virtuosity and extraordinary musicality. He also has a large and enthusiastic fan base on social media. At the age of just nine, he became a junior student at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar, and in 2019 he won first prize at the Carl Bechstein Competition in Berlin as the youngest participant. A period abroad also took him to the world-renowned Juilliard School in New York. During his guest performance in Hamburg, Justus Eichhorn will cover a wide musical spectrum, ranging from Johann Sebastian Bach and Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” to Franz Liszt and Fazıl Say.
