Infinite Worlds
Bach in Space. Bach’s immortal music, magnificent images of the universe on the big screen: a unique concert event.
“Bach is the beginning and the end of all music,” Max Reger once wrote. And there are probably very few who would disagree with him. To every musician and every listener, Bach’s musical universe seems infinite in its richness, its depth and its all-encompassing grandeur. And indeed, Bach’s music is even travelling through space: the Voyager Golden Records feature no fewer than three pieces by Bach – more than by any other composer. It is therefore most fitting that pianist Mona Asuka is now performing Bach’s works to accompany projections of images of the universe: a sensational audiovisual journey through cosmic expanses!
